I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel where I took my son to celebrate the end of his exams. We were in an economy twin room and whilst the room was basic, the terrace area outside with a view of the sea more than made up for it. The mattresses were amazing and I could not fault the cleanliness either. The communal areas are really nice too - e.g. the bar area where you overlook the sea. The staff are utterly amazing and a special mention goes to Carmela at Reception who helped me retrieve some lost items due to last minute lateness (my fault) when we checked out. The breakfast was good - perfectly decent, but perhaps the buffet could be replenished a bit more towards the end. If you go to breakfast before 8.30am it is not a problem, however. I never got a chance to visit the private beach as we were too busy. This is a hotel which provides excellent value for money with amazing views of of the sea! It is more or less opposite the train station where you can get trains to Naples and Sorrento, but there is no noise from the trains in the hotel itself. I would definitely recommend and go back.

As we were staying for 10 nights the staff told us that we had been put into a large room so we had more than ample space to spread out and to store our belongings. The breakfast was the complete "continental" style, sufficient to not become repetitive. As with all aspects of the hotel the staff couldn't do enough to meet every requirement. The views across Marina were excellent from nearly every part of the hotel. The Oriente is less than 200 yards from the station that serves the entire Naples to Sorrento area. 15 minutes to Sorrento and 20 to Pompeii, making it an ideal location to visit the busier areas but stay in a quieter town. Quieter, but still offering a vibrant night life with a more than adequate range of restaurants and bars. Our private taxi transfers and the majority of our trips were arranged by the hotel staff, allowing us to fully plan our trip whilst saving us time - these did price match the local businesses. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

We only stayed in the Hotel Oriente for one night as we were travelling through Italy and what can we say apart from WOW! We were greeted like the staff knew us already and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! Even though we were only staying for one night the staff informed us we could book a slot in the roof terrace hot tub and it was phenomenal. The roof was incredibly clean and a very comfortable size with a double bed and a balcony facing the ocean. The bathroom was modern and again very clean. We could not fault our one night stay at the Hotel Oriente! When we returned form a walk around the local town (also very beautiful) we had a drink from the hotel bar where again the bartender was faultless. As we sat on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Italian coast enjoying our one night stay that felt like a holiday in itself, we concluded that we would have to return in the future.

This hotel has a wonderful location, overlooking one of Vico Equense bays. You are made feel very welcome from the moment you walk in by a very attentive director and excellent Reception team! Our room was freshly done everyday and had all comforts, including a lovely rainfall shower, mini bar, safe, aircon. Besides the amazing location, the food was delicious with a rich continental buffet, including local produce, and the opportunity of a 3 course dinner with choices and option changing daily. The restaurant team headed by metre' Giovanni is always there too to help satisfy your requests and brighten up the day with their typical Neapolitan humour. Last but not least the private beach-included in the price- is a little gem with transparent blue flag water, and all facilities, close to bars and restaurants. Francesco the lifeguard, looks after guests carefully.

property was very well placed for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorento via the circumvesuvania train line literally 2 minutes from hotel. some very nice eateries in Vico Equense less than 5 minutes walk. lovely small town, not touristy like some of the other towns further down so prices for food and drink are very good, no touristy tat shops. room was lovely and clean, always clean towels. nice small area of beach reached by a ten minute walk down the hill, if you don’t fancy the walk back the hotel offers a shuttle bus.
